Full Time Property Manager

More Than A Roof Housing is seeking a qualified candidate to provide the full range of property management duties bringing oversight and leadership to diverse tenant communities in British Columbia.  Working closely with a talented team of associate and resident managers, the successful candidate will effectively manage a portfolio of residential buildings and liaise with outside agencies as required.


Excellent “people skills” are required as is an ability to work and lead within the MTR Housing ministry team setting. Experience working in the non-profit sector is a definite asset, including having a grasp of non-profit funding models, and while professional Property Management certification is preferred, it is not required. 


Preference will be given to applicants with at least 3 – 5 years of property management or related experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills plus an aptitude for administrative processes are essential.  Salary is commensurate with experience and compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package following a probation period. 

 

On-call/Casual Addiction Recovery Support Worker: Downtown Vancouver

We are seeking a qualified individual to assist and encourage a diverse group of program participants recovering from an addictive past by providing support to maintain their sobriety and achieve their recovery goals and objectives.  Our addiction recovery and support services are offered to 60 individuals at two locations designed specifically for single people with low incomes. The job involves all aspects of recovery support on weekends with our tenants who have completed an abstinence-based, transitional, supported housing program. Candidates must have relevant education and at least two to three years of direct work experience.

 

1 Full Time & 1 On-call/Casual Community Support Coordinator: Downtown Vancouver

This position offers social support services to downtown tenants including counseling, implementing social work theories, practices and procedures and employing a knowledge base of other social determinants to a diverse tenant population, with additional support for other communities as required. Preferred qualifications are a relevant degree, or an equivalent of education and work experience, in a relevant field plus a minimum two years direct work experience. A driver’s license is an asset.


Full Time Human Resource Professional: Vancouver

We are seeking a Human Resource Professional for our head office in Vancouver to support and coordinate a wide variety of human resources processes, programs and activities that promote, maintain and build on a positive and engaged workplace while supporting our unique workplace culture. General knowledge of BC employment standards legislation, an understanding of benefits and compensation programs, and excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills are required. A minimum of a degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development plus three to five years working in human resource positions, or a combination of relevant education and experience, with progressive responsibilities in leadership and development is preferred.


Successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written skills, and an ability to work within the MTR Housing ministry team setting. Experience working in the non-profit sector is a definite asset, and while professional Human Resource certification is preferred, it is not required. Salary is commensurate with experience and compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package following a probation period.
